Job Title: Workstream Lead (Crane Capability)

Job Type: Contract

Overview

Working under the guidance of senior programme leadership, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing and delivering a crane capability workstream supporting a large-scale infrastructure and engineering programme. The role will involve coordinating crane-related project activities while supporting wider programme delivery requirements.

The position requires close collaboration with internal workstreams, technical specialists, supply chain partners, and governance committees to ensure safe, effective, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate activities across a crane capability workstream from initiation through to completion
  • Manage project scope, budgets, schedules, resources, risks, and reporting requirements
  • Ensure compliance with established project management processes and governance arrangements
  • Work closely with compliance and assurance teams to ensure robust EHS&Q adherence
  • Promote continuous improvement and lessons learned across the programme
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop crane and lifting solutions for complex engineering packages
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across project, commercial, engineering, and supply chain functions
  • Lead project review meetings and escalate key risks, issues, and opportunities where required
  • Support change management processes, including contract variations and early warnings
  • Drive delivery performance within a fast-paced and highly regulated environment

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Degree in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related technical discipline
  • APM qualification (or recognised equivalent) preferred

Experience

  • Minimum 10 years’ project management experience in engineering, construction, or infrastructure environments
  • Experience delivering projects involving cranes or heavy lifting operations is highly desirable
  • Experience within regulated or high-hazard industries preferred

Additional Information

  • Hybrid working arrangement with regular office/site attendance required
  • Ability to travel locally as required
