This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Health & Safety professional who enjoys being visible on site, building strong working relationships, and driving a positive safety culture across complex projects.

Working closely with the Health & Safety Manager and wider project teams, you will play a key role in maintaining safe working environments across decommissioning activities, ensuring Health & Safety remains at the forefront of operational delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project teams with the safe planning and delivery of works, providing practical H&S guidance and advice.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of organisational H&S standards, procedures and policies.
  • Support incident investigations, reporting processes, audits, inspections and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct regular safety conversations and behavioural safety engagements across project teams.
  • Deliver internal H&S and Human Performance training in an engaging and effective manner.
  • Work collaboratively with clients, contractors and internal stakeholders across multiple projects and sites.

Requirements

  • Previous experience within Health & Safety roles in highly regulated or complex environments, ideally nuclear, construction, infrastructure or engineering.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience working within multi-stakeholder or Joint Venture (JV) project environments.
  • NEBOSH qualification or willingness to work towards recognised H&S certifications.
  • Valid CSCS card (or equivalent).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Flexible approach to travel and site-based work across the North West and nationally when required.

What’s on Offer

  • Competitive salary/day rate depending on experience.
  • Opportunity to work on major nuclear decommissioning projects.
  • Ongoing professional development and training support.
  • Exposure to a collaborative and safety-focused working environment.
  • Long-term career opportunities within a leading engineering and decommissioning sector.
