Training Developer – Cumbria – 12 Month Contract

We are recruiting for experienced Training Developers to support a major operational organisation in Cumbria. These roles will be responsible for analysing training requirements, developing learning solutions, and producing high-quality training materials to support a range of business programmes.

Location
Workington, Cumbria, with potential work at other locations across Cumbria.

Please note this is a fully office-based role, requiring attendance on site 5 days per week. Hybrid working is not available.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse training needs and develop fit-for-purpose learning solutions.
  • Design, develop and implement training materials in line with organisational procedures and agreed schedules.
  • Support training delivery through pilot sessions and classroom instruction where required.
  • Conduct post-training evaluations and respond to learner feedback.
  • Participate in audits, reviews and quality assurance activities.
  • Work closely with Subject Matter Experts to ensure effective implementation of training programmes.
  • Coach and support colleagues in the application of recognised training methodologies and organisational practices.
  • Attend peer reviews, meetings and mandatory training events.
  • Maintain required technical and behavioural standards.

Essential Experience

  • Proven experience in Training Design and Content Development.
  • Ability to analyse learning requirements and create engaging, effective learning materials using recognised learning methodologies.
  • Experience developing and maintaining training documentation and course content.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Competent user of Learning Management Systems and other business systems.
  • Experience working within structured or regulated environments is desirable.

Additional Requirements

  • Candidates must hold a minimum of GCSE English and Mathematics (Grade A–C / 4–9 or equivalent) and be able to provide certificates if requested.
