RESPONSIBILITIES
Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for a Sub Project Manager or a Project Manager of all levels with Nuclear New Build/Infrastructure experience on a contract basis to be based in Preston.We’re recruiting for an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in the nuclear sector, particularly in new build or major infrastructure projects.
This is a long-term, secure contract offering up to £55 per hour (Umbrella), working on a high-profile, complex programme within a highly regulated environment.
Role Overview:
- Position: Project Manager
- Rate: Up to £55/hr (Umbrella)
- Contract Type: Long-term contract

- Lead and manage project delivery from planning through execution
- Coordinate multi-disciplinary teams across engineering, safety, and construction
- Engage with key stakeholders and ensure compliance with nuclear regulations
- Monitor project performance, budgets, and timelines
- Ensure risk management and mitigation strategies are implemented effectively
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in the nuclear or highly regulated sectors
- Strong track record on new build or large-scale infrastructure projects
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Familiarity with project controls, governance, and regulatory requirements
- Project Management qualifications (e.g. APM, PRINCE2) preferred
