Mechanical Construction PlannerWorking Pattern for the Role: 5 Days Mon-Fri
Location: On site, Hinkley
Security Clearance: BPSS
Role Purpose: The Mechanical Construction Planner is responsible for developing and maintaining detailed mechanical Level 5 construction schedules and four-week lookahead plans.
The role measures progress and tracks installed quantities against planned outputs, ensuring schedule updates are accurate, evidence-based and aligned with the overall 16-week lookahead and programme milestones. It provides visibility of construction readiness, productivity, constraints and schedule risks to support safe and predictable delivery
Accountabilities:
• Develop and maintain detailed mechanical Level 5 construction schedules.
• Prepare and update mechanical four-week lookahead plans.
• Align schedules with the overall 16-week lookahead and programme milestones.
• Establish activity-level progress and quantity measurement requirements.
• Integrate engineering, materials, access, resources, quality and commissioning requirements.
• Confirm activity readiness with construction and delivery teams
Key Deliverables:
• Maintained mechanical Level 5 construction schedules.
• Weekly mechanical four-week lookahead plans.
• Mechanical inputs to the overall MEH 16-week lookahead.
• Accurate, evidence-based schedule progress updates.
• Installed and remaining quantity trackers.
• Planned versus actual quantity and productivity reports.
Minimum Qualifications/ Experience (in line with MEH Onboarding Matrix):
HNC in any engineering discipline
Additional Qualifications/ Experience:
5+ years in construction planning environment
