Senior Process Engineer (DEP)

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Working in a small team of process engineers, reporting to SL Process RE and AXIOM Engineering Manager
• Regular reporting on process team progress to Project Management and Engineering Manager        
• Working closely with a multi-discipline design team, including other engineering disciplines as well as non-engineering and non-design functions (Project Management, Programme Delivery, Technical Support Safety Assessors, Plant-Side Engineering, Plant Operations, Commissioning etc.)    
• Information gathering, optioning and design development  
  Presentation of design at regular assurance reviews with process design intelligent customer, as well as at technical committee, management safety committee and others where required.
• Communicating design proposals to the customer, and working with them to achieve an acceptable solution   

• Working with teams of process engineers, other engineering disciplines and non-engineering disciplines in delivering process designs on medium/large-scale projects                            
• Good communication skills and ability to work with other team members / disciplines.
• Competent report writing skills: clearly and concisely reporting findings. 
• Comfortable working under time and cost constraints.    
• Safety assessment techniques (e.g., HAZOP)                                       
• Masters/Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering    

• Working with and adherence to Sellafield Ltd processes and procedures, in particular checking and approval procedures   
• Nuclear safety case development and provision of nuclear substantiation in SL project space 
• Chartered Engineer with IChemE
