RESPONSIBILITIES
Westlakes Recruit are pleased to be recruiting for a Senior Civil, Structural & Architectural (CS&A) Engineer to support the delivery of key design elements on a major nuclear project.
This role offers the opportunity to work on world-class projects within the UK’s civil and defence nuclear sectors, contributing to the country’s transition towards low-carbon energy.
The Role
As a Senior CS&A Engineer, you will:

Support the delivery of CS&A design deliverables, including designs, assessments, drawings, and reports

Check and approve outputs to ensure accuracy and quality
-
Work closely with the Integrated Design Team, facility team, and other engineering disciplines to ensure successful project delivery
-
Provide technical expertise across civil, structural, and architectural engineering, ensuring designs comply with project requirements and safety standards

Collaborate effectively across teams and attend on-site visits as required
About You
Essential:
-
Degree-qualified CS&A Engineer (or equivalent experience)
-
Minimum of three years’ experience within a highly regulated industry
-
Proven experience in concrete, steel, and masonry structural design to current codes
-
Knowledge of environmental loading, including seismic assessments (preferred)
-
Proficient in producing civil and structural design documents, calculations, and reports
-
Familiar with CDM regulations and design responsibilities
-
Able to work independently while collaborating with wider project teams
-
Clear communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to varied audiences
Desirable:
-
Chartered Engineer status or working towards it
-
Experience in the nuclear sector, including Sellafield projects
-
Interest or experience in sustainability

Candidates must be UK residents and able to obtain a minimum of BPSS security clearance
