  • Maintaining accurate project records and commercial documentation.

  • Working closely with Project Managers, Site Managers, subcontractors and suppliers.

  • Attending site and commercial meetings where required.

  • Supporting the preparation and agreement of project final accounts.

  • Ensuring commercial activities are carried out in accordance with company procedures and contractual requirements.

About You

We are looking for someone who is motivated to build a long-term career in quantity surveying and commercial management.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related construction discipline.

  • A good understanding of construction processes and basic quantity surveying principles.

  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

  • Confidence using Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.

  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • A proactive approach and willingness to learn.

  • Good time-management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.

  • A full UK driving licence would be advantageous.

Previous construction experience, including a placement year or summer work experience, would be beneficial but is not essential. We are primarily looking for the right attitude, willingness to learn and desire to develop within the industry.

What We Offer

You will receive practical, hands-on experience while being supported by experienced members of the commercial and project teams.

We offer:

  • A competitive graduate salary and benefits package.

  • Structured training and ongoing professional development.

  • Mentoring and support from experienced construction and commercial professionals.

  • Exposure to live construction projects from an early stage.

  • Opportunities to develop experience across procurement, contracts, cost management and project delivery.

  • Clear opportunities for career progression.

  • A supportive and collaborative working environment.

Career Development

This role provides a strong foundation for progression from Graduate Quantity Surveyor to Assistant Quantity Surveyor and ultimately Quantity Surveyor, with increasing responsibility as your experience and commercial knowledge develop.

If you are a motivated Quantity Surveying graduate looking to start your career with an established construction business in Wigan, we would be pleased to hear from you.
