Job Title: Cyber Transformation Lead

Overview

An organisation operating within a highly regulated infrastructure environment is seeking an Interim Cyber Transformation Lead to support strategic cyber security transformation initiatives. Working closely with senior cyber leadership, the successful candidate will help drive the development and implementation of cyber security policies, standards, governance, awareness, and assurance activities.

The role will support organisational cyber maturity improvements while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and relevant regulatory obligations, including GDPR and other applicable compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as an internal cyber security advisor aligned to organisational strategy and objectives.
  • Lead and coordinate the resolution of complex and high-profile cyber security issues.
  • Facilitate stakeholder engagement across multiple business functions.
  • Develop, review, and embed cyber security policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Monitor and report on policy adoption and compliance.
  • Provide portfolio oversight, including RAG reporting and remediation tracking.
  • Conduct horizon scanning activities and provide leadership briefings on emerging threats, risks, and opportunities.
  • Support the development of cyber profession standards in collaboration with HR and Learning & Development teams.
  • Contribute to cyber assurance activities and incident readiness planning.

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering cyber transformation programmes within complex or highly regulated environments.
  • Strong stakeholder management and leadership communication skills.
  • Experience developing cyber security governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
  • Understanding of cyber assurance, compliance, and risk management practices.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulatory requirements, including GDPR.
  • Ability to operate effectively at both strategic and operational levels.

  • Access to stakeholders, systems, repositories, and collaboration tools will be provided.
  • Relevant project and policy owners will support reviews and assurance activities.
  • Necessary clearances, facilities, and equipment will be provided by the end client.
