RESPONSIBILITIES
The role required is C&I Engineer who will be embed within the aligned delivery team within a Nuclear Decomissioning project. 

Services include integration into the Client’s team, delivery of assigned tasks, and reporting to designated Client leads

Key Responsibilities
Solution development and delivery:
o Collaborate in the development and implementation strategies for delivery of design including use of the supply chain.
o Deliver a safe, fit-for-purpose, fully integrated and operable design solution that meets product requirements.
o Produce design deliverables that provide a fit-for-purpose integrated solution which meets specified requirements, including validation and verification, and that preserve the design intent and align with the plant configuration, as appropriate.
o Identify any changes to design and inform the wider team, in particular the Responsible Engineer and Project Engineering Manager.
o Identify any functional technical, safety and engineering risks and inform the Responsible Engineer.
o Ensure the design solution is able to be manufactured, constructed, commissioned, handed over, put into operation, maintained and decommissioned.
o Develop and carry out work in line with the Project Delivery Fundamentals1.

Safe and Legal:
o Ensure solutions meet all discipline-related legal requirements including CDM, safety (including application of the EDSPs), security, environmental and site licence conditions, and that deliverables and solutions generated are adequately underpinned.
o Ensure understanding and application of relevant legislation, SL and project specific policies, procedures and design standards.

Requirements Management:
o Support the Responsible Engineer / Area Engineering Manager / Project System Engineer in:
? Derivation of requirements and capabilities for Areas, Systems and Products, along with the associated conditions, constraints and validation.
? Definition and execution of product verification activities.

Cost and schedule:
o Collaborate in the development and updating of cost and time estimates for delivery of the design solution.
o Monitor, review and accurately report progress in terms of time and cost and implement recovery strategies where required for assigned work. 

Quality:
o Support the Responsible Engineer by contributing to the production of quality plans and ensure design solutions are delivered accordingly.
o Collaborate in the identification and selection of appropriate design and engineering standards and practices to be used.
o Carry out validation and verification practices for key aspects of work to ensure that the design meets all functional, safety and environmental requirements and is integrated with other design disciplines.

People:
o Promote and incorporate good practice and the capture, sharing and utilisation of LFE across the specific team and the engineering business, including ensuring subject matter experts are appropriately and adequately engaged in a timely manner.
o Continuously develop through coaching, mentoring, CPD and / or formal training.

• To the Responsible Engineer:
o Produce specified design deliverables that meet requirements.
o Carry out work in line with the Project Delivery Fundamentals.
o To work in compliance with the Collaborative Management Plan.

Authorities
• To ensure that design deliverables produced meet legal, safety, security and product requirements and challenge where this is not achieved.
• To ensure work is carried out in line with the Project Delivery Fundamentals
