Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for an experienced CS&A Design Engineer with site experience in upgrading civil infrastructure and undertaking structural design and loading assessments of in-pond equipment.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of an established team working on a high-profile infrastructure project within the nuclear sector. The role offers the chance to work in a dynamic and forward-thinking environment delivering a project of national importance. The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Engineering Manager, multidisciplinary project teams, and the client on a fast-paced project.
Key Responsibilities

Produce non-functional requirements (NFR) and feasibility documentation to justify and support design decisions.

Prepare construction documentation, including undertaking detailed site surveys to inform design development.

Ensure all plans, drawings, and quantities are accurate and suitable for technical calculations.

Manage and/or produce design documentation, including drawings and technical specifications.

Control and coordinate configuration management of engineering deliverables and associated site works.

Liaise with designers and stakeholders to ensure compliance with applicable design and construction regulations.

Provide regular progress reports and technical updates to the CS&A Responsible Engineer (RE).

Plan and prioritise work efficiently, adapting to setbacks or technical challenges encountered.

Use industry-standard CAD, coordination, and 3D scanning software to capture and transfer accurate site data to the design team.

Contribute practical site knowledge and technical input to Design and Constructability Reviews.
Required Experience & Skills

HNC/HND in Engineering (or equivalent qualification).

Strong operational plant knowledge and experience working within a live operational environment.

Experience using engineering document management and configuration control systems.

Positive, proactive attitude with excellent communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively across diverse project teams.

Ability to obtain and maintain appropriate security clearance for work within a regulated industry environment.
Working Arrangements

Full-time position – 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday).
