Finance Manager

Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager on a permanent basis in Workington.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in helping our Client achieve its ambitions, driving the business forward as part of the senior management team.

The key responsibilities for this role include:

·         Supporting the Board and senior management with accurate and detailed financial support;

·         Preparing reports and analyses for the Board and senior management team in support of business objectives, highlighting opportunities to improve reporting and insight into operational performance;

·         Managing and developing the finance team as it seeks to improve current processes, controls, and procedures to support the growth of the business;

·         The production of accurate and timely annual statutory accounts for the business;

·         The production of monthly management accounts;

·         Managing the Treasury function;

·         The production and submission of accurate HMRC returns including VAT;

·         Creating a strong relationship with external auditors, supporting the year end audit process;

·         Delivering the annual budgeting process;

·         Managing and developing the capital expenditure process and reporting;

·         Preparing costings for all people and skills programmes; and

·         Developing excellent working relationships with key customers stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be AAT qualified to at least level 4 and working towards CIMA or equivalent, with at least four years relevant experience (Qualified by experience will also be considered).
