RESPONSIBILITIES
Westlakes Recruit are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Manager to be engaged on a contract basis, in Aberdeen.
Role Description:
Implement commercial best practice to maximise value and minimise risk and cost.
Coordinate commercial support including screening of legal reviews for client submissions.
Provide commercial and contractual support and guidance to Project Managers.
Assesses risks and makes recommendations based on a thorough analysis of all factors involved in a business situation.
Management of subcontractor/supplier agreements and follow invoice approval procedures.
Master Service Agreement management, including timely renewals and review and negotiations of rates.
Bidding for new work, reviewing proposed terms and conditions for risk and opportunities.
Stage gate reviews - tendering including commercial leadership of strategic proposals, pricing, contract negotiation.
Negotiate, manage and coordinate contracts, non-disclosure agreements and trading agreements.
Leading development of innovative commercial models for the Energy Transition market.
Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management.
Maintain a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
Educated to degree standard in related subject
Membership of a relevant professional institute, chartered status
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to influence others at multiple levels internally and externally
Strong commercial acumen and significant experience in a similar position
Experience within Energy, particularly within design and consultancy commissions
Time management and the ability to work plan in high pressure situations
Strong strategic and negotiation skills to make sound commercial decisions
Stakeholder relationship management
A legal understanding of relevant contracts
Must be a strategic thinker and have strong negotiation skills
Excellent organisational skills and ability to multitask
Proficient user of Microsoft office applications
